Long steep hike on grassy slopes – No scrambling, Returning via second peak and walking down an open grassy slope

Healy Meadows/Pass

Glacier Lily Hike, hopefully the Glacier Lilies will be in full bloom, hard to predict as they only bloom for a week, also Hike from the pass and onto the ramparts for 1-2km if not posted.

South peaks at Upper Canyon Creek

Peaks 427439 & 436425. Daffern's 4th edition, vol 2 pg 211. Off-trail, some steep areas, some easy bushwhacking but mostly open. Flood did a lot of damage in this area so some rock hopping in the creekbed. These are the 2 closest peaks to the parking area.

Jumping Pound Ridge

Drive down Powderface Trail. Car shuttle required. Elevation mainly in first 4 kilometres. Hope wildflowers are in bloom.

Healy Meadows

This a second trip to Healy Meadows/Pass to accommodate those that missed the first trip, posted by Ed Neufeld. We will leave 45 minutes after the other group and from a different parking area. Fullerton Loop & Ranger ridge

A pleasant early season walk with moderate gradients and lots of wildflowers. Some new perspectives of the Elbow River drainage. Note: Driving time is 1 hr 10 mins each way (105 KMS)

Spray River Loop

Straight forward hike with pleasant views next to the river and down the valley.

Hummingbird Plume Lookout, Kananaskis

Hike starting near Kananaskis Village. Easy walk to visit Troll Falls, followed by an uphill hike through a wide forest trail to an historic cabin and lookout with stunning views.
