The Role of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières and the Conflict in Yemen

Presented by Michael Fark

For about 20 years, starting in 2002, Michael worked with MSF as emergency coordinator and operations manager on a full time basis in over 20 countries including Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, the Sudan and most recently Yemen.  He has managed diverse interventions including natural disasters, famine response, outbreaks of Cholera and Ebola and war trauma surgery.  He has a master’s degree in Political Economics and currently works for the Town of Canmore as the General Manager of Municipal Infrastructure.  He still takes short assignments with MSF to provide management in crisis when work with the Town allows.

Coffee is available and discussion encouraged.  Donations are welcomed.
