VISA Phone scam Claims your card used in India. They have last 4 digits and your address and want you to give them rest of card number
Do NOT give rest of card number. Say you will call Visa or bank to discuss - should cause immediate hangup.
Stars Lottery "Winner" Scam
RCMP say a man purporting to be from the lottery told people they had to send in money to claim a prize.
STARS Lottery said it would never ask for funds to claim prizes.
If you receive a suspicious call, email or text, RCMP say DO NOT provide any personal information and to contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
Anyone with information regarding the STARS scam is asked to contact their local RCMP detachment.

Multiple members have received emails like this.
Do NOT open or click on any content.
It is using members' personal contact lists to spread itself but must be deliberately clicked to be activated.
Kaspersky Labs reports a version that spreads financial malware Trojans.
There is also spam circulating that assures the reader that the spam is not spam - this has become a common ruse by spammers and should be a major red flag. ('trust me, I'm a .....')
