Recon done June 13th-a few trees down but easy to detour. No snow except at rock gully in front of cirque. Saw 3 marmots, 1 pica and 4-5 goats. Meet at Spencer Creek Trailhead: approx 40 min and 23 kms. from Canmore. Smith-Dorrien alot better than earlier Spring.

Meet at the Heart creek parking lot. We hike west to a man made cave in the mountain. This was a cold war era nuclear shelter for documents.
