Our annual trek to Emerald Lake. Beautiful views, some rolling elevation gain. The early departure is to make sure we get a parking spot. One side of the Lake is always muddy so bring extra shoes for drive home Lunch will be at Field visitor centre.

Good early season hike that should be snow free. Short drive down Hwy 40
We will be hiking to Raven's end. There may be some residual snow near the top of the trail, but otherwise this hike follows a well defined trail. This will be at a "joyful" pace.
Pleasant hiking in open/flat grassy areas and undulating aspen and pine forests, following the Kananaskis river in parts. First and End part of the hiking loop may be windy in the open areas so bring a good wind breaker. Also carry bear spray.
