Long steep hike on grassy slopes – No scrambling, Returning via second peak and walking down an open grassy slope

South peaks at Upper Canyon Creek

Peaks 427439 & 436425. Daffern's 4th edition, vol 2 pg 211. Off-trail, some steep areas, some easy bushwhacking but mostly open. Flood did a lot of damage in this area so some rock hopping in the creekbed. These are the 2 closest peaks to the parking area.

Cory Shoulder

This hike has wonderful views of the Bow Valley, Banff, Sundance Canyon and the train wandering through. First km or so goes through the Fireside aspen area which concentrates the elevation the rest of the way making for a steeper grade up and down (B+). Park at Harvie Heights gravel parking lot – off Harvie Heights road, 1.5 kms east of hamlet of Harvie Heights. Be prepared for some possible muddy sections depending on rain and snow melt in the next few weeks. Please bring a lunch.
