Love to dance? Eager to try a dance style that’s both simple and fun?
Join us for an introduction to Contra Dance with live music.
This popular, uncomplicated, traditional dance style will get your feet moving and make you smile. Contra originates from English, Scottish and French country dance styles, with versions danced all over North America.
Come on your own, with a partner, in a group or just to watch and enjoy the excellent music. No previous experience necessary: the caller teaches the simple steps before the music starts and then calls the repeated figures all through the dance. Preview (without music) at 6:45.
Bring your snacks and a drink, wear soft non-marking shoes. Entry is FREE, but a small contribution for the musicians’ expenses would be appreciated. No sign up necessary.
