Drivers park along curb behind Save-On.
Riders park wherever until gravel area open then move vehicles.
All meet at vehicles along curb to arrange rides.
Please indicate if you are willing (or unable) to drive when signing up.
Hopefully we will still have Fall colours to enjoy. Photo stops on request.
Note: MEET at 9 am to DEPART after 10-15 minutes getting organised. No need to arrive earlier. There is no “grace period” for late arrivals. However you can call 1-403-771-8097 if unavoidably delayed eg long train.
UPDATE Tuesday 01
Checked this afternoon. The winter upslope storm seemed to end somewhere around Banff. Castle Jct store staff said they had almost nothing.
Even if clear of snow it will probably be a good idea to carry grippers in case of frozen ground in deep shade or near stream crossings. If not everyone has grippers I have a couple of spares, though sizing may be a bit off.
There are good viewpoints without going all the way to the lookout and we can turn back or add another trail in the same area any time.
Forecast is cool and sunny.
