Bell ridge – Hwy 93 (Boom) to O’Brien & Taylor Lakes

Date/Time
Date(s) - Wed Sep 18 2019
8:15 am

Notes:

This trip is not often done. The leader has hiked it twice – most recently in September 2013 . Accordingly, participants are cautioned that there is an element of exploration involved as well as some route finding.
The start is at the Boom lake parking lot and after 2.3 km, the Bell Ridge trail diverges northwest and climbs steeply upwards for 400m of elevation gain which we will take at a moderate pace to conserve energy for the walk out from Taylor. The hike has a good number of ups and downs and we reach O’Brien lake after 9 km. It is a further 2 km to Taylor lake followed by 6.6 km down to the Taylor parking lot .
A 30 minute car shuttle is required.
