Boom Lake, off of Radium Highway 93 South, Banff National Park

Date/Time
Date(s) - Wed Jul 07 2021
10:00 am

Notes:

To get to the Boom Lake parking lot, take #1 West; South on the Banff-Radium Highway #93 for 7 kms.  The parking lot is on the right-hand side of the road; well signed; just past Storm Mountain Lodge.

Glaciated mountains and limestone walls surround the perfectly clear Boom Lake. The trail climbs through pine, fir and spruce forest. After a series of switchbacks, the trail gives way to a narrow footpath to the lake.

Lunch will be on the avalanche boulders at the lake. Anyone wishing to try his/her cutthroat trout fishing luck, please bring a rod and a National Parks fishing license.
