Notes:

Many of us have a working definition of authoritarianism – perhaps Donald Trump or Vladimir Putin come to mind.  But can we readily detect its early signs in political candidates who might undermine democracy’s sacrosanct principles?  Could an autocrat whose relentless struggle for power and dominance someday rule Alberta or Canada and rob citizens of the democratic freedoms they currently take for granted?  Join Dr. Judy Johnson for an enlightening talk and lively Q&A on this important subject.

About Dr. Judy Johnson:

Dr. Judy Johnson is a clinical psychologist and retired Professor Emerita from Mount Royal University who likes to spin a phrase or two about dogmatism and authoritarianism  She is the author of two books on dogmatism and is currently writing a nonfiction book that presents a psychological theory of authoritarianism, a sub-trait of dogmatism.
