Note this hike is on a Thursday:
Interesting geological feature in the creek bed. First 2 km is a good trail rising steadily through forest. The second half is in the creek bed, so expect a walk on uneven stones with potential for residual snow/ice. Bring grippers to be safe. We will go past the chock rock and up into the pass just short of Skogan Pass.
Meeting place will be at the Parking Area 3.5km east of Dead Man’s Flats on the south side of the highway. It is an unsigned parking area for McGillivray Creek access.
This will be a hike to check conditions for the following week.
