COMBINED LEVELS SUMMER SEASON-OPENER AT BOW VALLEY PP

Date/Time
Date(s) - Wed Apr 26 2023
9:30 am

Notes:

In normal years we opened with a hike and lunch get-together that was suitable for (almost) everybody as a chance to renew acquaintances and meet new members. Those who didn’t join the hike often did join us for lunch at the trail head.

09:20 MEET in parking area by CPR tracks behind Save-On (not in their parking spaces) and sort out rides for those who need them.

09:30 DEPART for Bow Valley PP Middle Lake Day-use area.

10:00 Arrive at Middle Lake and meet members who drove direct.

10:15 Start hike. BVPP offers many alternative loops and trail types so we can adapt to conditions.

Hike will be 5 Km 50m and we will allow 1.5 – 2 hours for the walk/talk/pictures/flowers/etc.

12:15-ish onward. Picnic lunch at Middle Lake. There are some picnic tables sheltered among trees and one in the open. Suggest maybe bring folding chair.

You need.

Clothing for any conditions including good footwear. The trails were ice-free before the latest snow but you may want to carry grippers just in case it doesn’t warm up as forecast.

Lunch and drink.

SEMI-OPTIONAL SIGN-UP

If you plan to go straight to the trailhead please sign up and say so. Then we will know who hasn’t arrived.

If you will need a ride or if you are prepared to take passengers please sign up and say so.

If you plan to drive yourself after collecting friends just show up behind Save-On.
