Had to reschedule this trip as Emerald Lk Lodge was closed for maintenance until Jan 12th. Leave Canmore at 8am, walk to Lodge from parking lot at Emerald Lk (grippers can be helpful), enjoy breakfast in their Burgess Dining Room. Ski Alluvial Fan via Emerald Classic (used to be called Horse Trail). Must cross frozen lake on skis to access Alluvial Fan. Then drive back to Natural Bridge and ski 3.8 km to scenic picnic table overlooking Kicking Horse River on Kicking Horse Trail. One long gentle hill; otherwise flat.
