Indigenous Peoples of Northern Canada – Jim Emmett

Sharing the experiences thoughts and concerns of two physicians who were privileged to work for the Nunavut people over a decade of time.

Dr Jim Emmett practiced family medicine – in other words “people” practice – in Calgary over 40 years, from the mid 1970’s, retiring early in the 21^st. century. He shared his practice with his wife, Dr Josie Wilson and many of his personal and professional adventures are “we” experiences as they collaborated on life as a team. A major happy medical event of their career was the privilege of delivering the children of three women who he had also delivered.
