Presented by: Tony Bloom – Creekside Hall

Please join us for a stimulating presentation by Canmore’s Tony Bloom as he unveils the mysteries, ideas and processes behind creating his impressive sculptures.  His website <tonybloom.ca> says it best!  And reveals his extraordinary range in private (copper stove fans, games) and public art creations over five decades.  Consider Fanfare 2011 evoking all arts creations installed in the Northern Alberta Jubilee;  Landbuoys as metaphors for today’s diminishing environment;  and Canmore’s Altered Ground unveiled in September 2020 suggesting the “geology and morphology of the mountain environment.”  Such dedication and originality and international exhibiting record.  We are in for a real treat!  And some surprises!

Tony is a founding member of Stonecrop Studios (1974) and recipient of the Lifetime Contribution to the Arts award from the Town of Canmore (2014).
