Notes:
Special Instructions: This will be our fourth year celebrating a night-time ascent of Grassi Lakes; although it’s not yet safe to end the evening with our usual chile party, we can safely start the year off with our moonlight hike.
This year we are promised a quarter moon rising at 7:33 and the sun setting at 4:46 pm. With luck, we will catch the moon on our descent. Bring grippers, poles, a hot drink, and a headlamp. Dress warmly. Bring a mask and keep it handy so that you can put it on quickly if need be. Everyone will be expected to maintain a minimum 2 meter distance from all non-household members.
At this point in time, the hike is in keeping with current Alberta regulations regarding group activities and Covid; this could change at any time, however, in which case I will update this offering.
