Moose Mountain – Bragg Creek – On Mondays
We had a hike on Monday to Powderface/prairie link/prairie creek loop and we had five meanderthals hiking it. If you notice we’re having a later start than usual . 10:00 am carpooling from Canmore to Petro-Can ( Hwy#1 & Hwy#22 ) . Then Prairie-Can to Bragg Creek . The actual hike started at 11:30 and we were done by 3:30 If you don’t mind a later start this schedule could fit perfectly for you.
$10 from Canmore to PetroCan
$5 from PetroCan to Bragg Creek ( Trailhead )
To get to the top of Moose mtn where you start the hike , there’s a drive we must do to get to the top. Moose Mountain is a 3m wide trail along a forest then into the open, going to Summit#1. There we would have lunch and look at possibly moving on to Summit #2 which has been closed for awhile this summer due to repairs ( I think ). The two times I’ve been up this summer , there is a sign at the start of the trailhead that does not permit you to go the Fire Lookout ( Summit#2 )
