About Graham Lock, P.Eng :

Graham Lock was appointed as a member of the Nunavut Utility Rate Review Council in 2010.  He is currently a Council Member and Vice Chair.

Prior to joining the Nunavut Utility Rate Review Council as a member, Mr Lock served as a member of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (AEUB) from 2000 until 2008, sitting on several proceedings related to the deregulation of electricity matters in Alberta.

Prior to serving on the AEUB, Mr Lock was President, CU Power Australia Pty Ltd, for three and a half years, where he was responsible for CU’s independent power project business development in Australia and for the construction and operation of the 180-megawatt Osborne combined cycle/cogeneration plant in Adelaide, SA.  From 1988 to 1995, he served as Executive Vice President and President of the CU Gas Division of Canadian Utilities Limited.  During this period, he was responsible for corporate strategy and operation of CU’s natural gas utilities and non-regulated natural gas activities.  From 1977 until 1988, he was an engineer in the Gas Supply Division and Manager of Production and Transmission for Canadian Western Natural Gas.

A native Albertan, Mr Lock holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Universities of Alberta and Calgary respectively.
