Rawson Lake, Peter Lougheed Provincial Park

Date/Time
Date(s) - Wed Aug 18 2021
9:30 am

Notes:

This is a steady climb through a subalpine forest at a fairly quick pace. The trail terminates at a beautiful alpine lake surrounded by mountain peaks and alpine meadows. We will have our lunch at the lake.  Bring your fishing license and a rod if you’d like to fish at lunchtime!

Bears are often around, so please bring your bear spray, along with your water, lunch, poles if you use them, etc.

Let’s meet at Benchlands Trail parking lot.  The hike trailhead is at the Upper Lake parking lot off of Highway 40. Carpooling is now permitted by the CSA but is completely optional.

When signing up, kindly let me know your active CSA number (did you remember to renew on July 1st?), your cell phone number and your thoughts on whether you’d like to carpool as a driver or passenger, or whether you’d prefer to get there on your own.
