Ribbon Creek Trail, Kananaskis

Date/Time
Date(s) - Wed Jun 23 2021
10:00 am

Notes:

Nice hike along Ribbon Creek.  Lots of water in the creek just now, with some rapids and waterfalls along the way.  Beautiful vistas.  We will have lunch beside the creek and then head back the way we came.  We won’t go all the way to Ribbon Falls or Lake.

There is one easy creek crossing to make.  Bring poles if you like.

Meet at 10:00 am at the Ribbon Creek parking lot, which is about 40 minutes from Canmore.  Take Highway 40, turn west onto Mt Allan Drive (signed “Kananaskis Village”), first left onto Centennial Drive, then next right onto Ribbon Creek Road.  Drive to parking lot at the end of the road.  There are outhouses at trailhead.

Please bring your lunch, bear spray and be prepared for heat, rain, sleet, etc. etc.
