Watridge Lake and Karst Spring

Date/Time
Date(s) - Wed Jul 28 2021
9:30 am

Notes:

Wide trail for much of the way.  Lots of flowers and strawberries out now. Most of the elevation gain is the last kilometre from Watridge Lake to the outlet of Karst Spring. The hike up beside Watridge Creek is absolutely gorgeous and worth the effort of the climb.

Let’s meet at Benchlands Trail parking lot.  The hike trailhead is at the Mount Shark parking lot on the Smith-Dorrien. It can be reached on the Smith-Dorrien from Canmore or alternatively going on Highway 40 and doubling back on the Smith-Dorrien (15 minutes longer).  Carpooling is now permitted by the CSA but is completely optional.

When signing up, kindly let me know your active CSA number (did you remember to renew on July 1st?), your cell phone number and your thoughts on whether you’d like to carpool as a driver or passenger, or whether you’d prefer to get there on your own.
