Instructions for this Form
Note: Some boxes have defaults - click on the box if you wish something else to appear in your listing.
Name and email of submitter are used to send the submitter an email when the trip has been accepted and posted to the “Triplist” page
Trip Name should be 10 words or less.
Trip Date - click to select from calendar
Start Time - click to select from list.
Trip Notes - include general information about the trip (not included in other fields), such as exposure and other hazards, what to bring, and general description of the route.
Type - choose from the list, including blank if other (and describe in your notes).
Level - choose from the list, and optionally add Level Detail if e.g. you want to show A- at B pace. Further clarification can be included in Details section (Leave this blank if you want something other than what is on the drop down list and write it into your notes).
Level Detail - only fill in if different from Level
URL - Consider referencing a web page (e.g. to alltrails.com) that has a detailed description and/or map - (add a page to your browser, navigate to the web page you want to reference and cut and paste from browser URL)
Distance - This is total distance (in km - do not type km after your number) of the trip (hike, Snowshoe or XC) - out and back
Vertical gain - this is the total gain (in m - do not type m after your number) (not just the net elevation gain)
Max Elevation - This is for people who have difficulty breathing at higher elevations - fill this in if you are going to a high spot (m of elevation above sea level - do not type m after your number)
Duration - this is an estimate of the total time of the trip (including driving time) (in hours - do not type hrs after your number)
Cost ($) is gas sharing costs - costs (in $ - do not type $ before your number) for 2022: gas_share
Maximum participants - Set Maximum number for hike (Parks staff limit group size on some trails - usually to 15).
Meeting Place - Click in the box and select from the list, or select “See Notes” if your meeting spot is not on the list
Sign-up - Default is "Must Sign-up" - click in the box if you want something else.
Earliest Signup - default is "8:00 pm Wednesday before the trip", if there is a different deadline, select "Any Time" or "See Notes", and specify the signup timing in the Details section
Click the "Submit Trip" button - you should get a pop up (either one requesting a correction to your inputs of one saying that you have successfully submitted your trip - the person submitting the trip will get an email when your trip is posted to the site)
