Ring it in at the Rink
Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Canmore Recreation Centre
Join us at the Canmore Recreation Centre for a free, all-ages evening of fun featuring fireside musical performances with local musicians, a DJ dance party, ice skating, marshmallow roasting, food vendors, an immersive light tunnel, and more!
Please bring your own skates — rentals will not be available. All skaters ages 12 and younger must wear a CSA-certified helmet to access the ice. If you have a helmet at home, please bring it.
Costume challenge: Help us give a big, brilliant welcome to 2026. Dress up in something that sparkles, glows, or shines. Upcycling your outfit? Even better!

New for 2025 – Wander the immersive light tunnel
Dec. 28 – Jan. 3 at the Canmore Recreation Centre Football Field
New this year, step into a 100-foot neon-lit tunnel pulsing with vibrant, dynamic lights. Wander freely, interact with the installation, and create waves of colour as you walk through an immersive journey into the New Year. This warm, sensory experience is accessible for all ages.
Please note: There will be no fireworks for New Year’s Eve.
We’re going zero waste! This year for our New Year’s Eve event, we’re working towards making it zero waste! All drinks and food will be served in reusable containers*. We’re excited to be able to eliminate single-use waste from our New Year’s Eve event as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability.
