We’ll look for the Yamnuska Natural Area main Eastern loop starting and ending at the Yamnuska parking lot. There are many unofficial path in this area, thats why I post this hike as exploratory. I did x/c ski in this flat- undulating pine and spruce forest interspersed with small ponds and open meadows. If we locate the main trail loop it adds up to about 9 km.
We may see prairie crocuses in the sunnier spots and hear and see some of the- bird and- waterfowl spring arrivals. Pepper spray a must, grippers may still be needed ? You may bring your binoculars and bird- and wildflowers guides .
