We will take the gondola up to Sunshine Village to begin the hike. Each hiker will need to purchase a pass for the gondola. This season they have a local’s 50% off deal. You MUST bring your driver’s license or some such I.D. to prove you live in the Bow Valley to get the local’s deal. For those 65 and older it works out to $35.00 plus G.S.T. $40.00 plus G.S.T. for those under 65. If you have a Sunshine 2026/27 season’s pass summer is included, remember to bring your pass.
This is a beautiful hike, heading up to Quartz Ridge, down to Howard Douglas Lake and then gradually up to Citadel Pass. Bring lots of water, bear spray, rain gear, lunch and poles.
We will assess smoke and weather situation the night before.
