This hike follows a well defined if initially heavily rooted track to Helen Lake. The trail then carries on above the lake to the Dolomite ridge. There is no exposure. (Please note the leaders will be at Purcell Lodge until August 14th and will not reply to requests to join this hike until late that day.)
