Note: Drove up to see what was actually close in Highwood Ridge area. For the past few years the area has been under construction. The Highwood Ridge Trail is blocked totally off. So we will do Elbow Lake Trail just a few km north of Highwood area.
You’ll meet at ten minutes to 8:30 at Benchlands Parking lot to carpool. I will meet you around 9ish at the info centre on Hwy #40 . From there we will head up to the trailhead. Approx. 40 minutes from the info centre.
We will hike to Edworthy falls for lunch and then we will continue to do a loop taking us to 15.11km and 531m.
The falls are at 12.9 km and 356m.
Don’t forget your bearspray , lunch, extra clothing , mosquito repellent
$5 from Canmore to info centre and then $9 to trailhead. Total $14
