Through this visual, engaging and educational presentation, Darren will explore reasons for species becoming threatened and endangered, as well as conservation measures that are being undertaken by dedicated individuals in the field.  This visual journey will take participants across the globe in many of the most biologically diverse ecosystems and highlight rare wildlife species Darren has encountered and observed along the way.

About Darren Colello:

Darren Colello is a wildlife biologist, ecologist and educator that has taught over 100,000 individuals in person representing every age group and background across western Canada and beyond.  He works tirelessly in the fields of wildlife biology and environmental conservation.  His specialist knowledge over the past 35 years is in carnivores, primates, elephants, bats, raptors and ungulates.

Darren also guides individuals on wildlife conservation photography journeys in the most biodiverse regions of Africa, North America and the neotropics, and believes in connecting people to the boundless wonders of wildlife and wild spaces.
