Evan Thomas creek – Hike/Snowshoes
I did a recon a couple of weeks ago and on Hwy#40 there wasn’t much of any snow. According to the weather its still doesn’t look like too much snow but it is suppose to get colder so hopefully we can make it to the Green Monster. More than likely will be using our spikes but bring your snowshoes just in case.
I’ll meet you at trailhead around 10:00 or so. For the hikers coming from Canmore meet at the Benchland Trail Parking Lot for 10 minutes before 9:15. You’ll carpool from there and I’ll see you at the trail head. The trailhead is approx. 20km from the info centre.
Do not forget the usual :- bearspray , grippers, snowshoes, lunch ( and extra pair of socks just in case of the creek ) .
I’ll check the weather / temperature the weekend prior to our hike.
