Notes:
All CSA members welcome! NO Signup required for this outing.
Members who wish to car pool – meet behind SaveOn at 9:20 am.
For those who wish to just drive themselves, meet at Middle Lake parking lot in Bow Valley Park at 10:00 am.
The plan is to walk the Moraine Trail, connect to the Bow River Trail, and return via the Elk Flats trail – a total of about 5 km and 50 m elevation loss & gain.
Bring a lunch and something to drink. We will snack along the trail and eat lunch after the hike at Middle Lake if the weather cooperates. (There are a few sheltered picnic tables)
You can join us just for lunch if you like ! (About 12:00)
More snow accumulated in Bow Valley than Canmore, so come prepared for partly snow covered trail and wet bushes. Luckily, there are no ice patches, but some slippery mud exists along the river.
