This presentation will look at the evolving role of pharmacists in Alberta and expanding access to care. Alma Steyn is the owner and pharmacist at Gourlay’s Clinic Pharmacy in Canmore, where her mission is to enhance the lives of her clients and community. She is passionate about accessible and compassionate healthcare that focuses on building long term patient relationships She has been serving the Bow Valley community for over 15 years and has seen firsthand how the role of pharmacists has evolved far beyond dispensing medications. Through education and conversation, she aims to empower people to make informed decisions and to see their pharmacist as a trusted partner in their healthcare journey.
